Bill was introduced to the College Club back in 1990 by Past President Scott
Balsam. Both Scott and Bill were working for the
financial services firm Paine Webber at that time.
Bill has been an active member from the start. He served on our Board of Directors, and enjoys participating in our various Club functions. His favorite events at the Club are the Wassail Bowl Pageant, along with our annual Crab Feed.
A few years later Bill changed careers and started his own successful yacht restoration company, Felix Marine. Due to his love of all things
boating, Bill now lives on his own boat moored on Lake Union.
Bill is a native of Washington State and grew up in
Edmonds. He attended the University of Washington and has two beautiful
daughters, Leah and Jenna. Jenna works for her dad in the day-to-day operations of Felix Marine.
You can catch Bill after work hours enjoying the
camaraderie of his fellow members at the club’s Bar Fly Table, but be warned, Bill is an expert at rolling dice.

With the holiday season upon us, the Entertainment
Committee has been
working hard planning the traditional Club events members have been
accustomed to for many years. As you know, we will be leaving our building in early 2008, a bittersweet affair. Comments from members regarding the memories they have shared with family and friends are strong. From
hosting wedding parties for their daughters and sons to attending functions with fellow members, the Club holds lasting memories. If this old building could talk, what stories it could tell, many dear to our hearts. While brick and mortar house us, it’s the members who make up the true heart and soul of the
College Club. The Club has survived challenges and relocation in the past, and will do so again in our near future. This
season will be the last opportunity to partake in our holiday events in this facility. I encourage you to once again join the festivities, and make this season one to
remember.
Warm Regards,
Peter Sparling
